Who is responsible

What we collect and why

• Newsletter sign-up: your email address and, if you give it, your first name. We use them to send you the free novella and the Rennick File newsletter. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
• Email statistics: whether an email was delivered, opened or clicked, so we can keep the list healthy and remove inactive addresses.
• Website visits: our host keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run and protect the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure website (article 6(1)(f)).

This site uses no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies. Fonts are hosted on this site, not loaded from Google. [If you add Cloudflare Web Analytics: "We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites."]

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe. We also remove addresses that have not opened an email in [12] months. You keep the novella either way.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or ask for a copy, by writing to privacy@trkessling.com. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données) at dataprotectionauthority.be.
